Frosted Pine Labradors is looking for families who are willing to be a forever guardian home. This is a great opportunity for families, us, and most importantly the pup. We are not a large kennel and our dogs live in our home with us so to continue to add new lines and keep our lines going we will be placing pups with families free of charge under a contract. The guardian home gets to have and raise a pup of our choice and FPLs keep breeding rights to the pup. When the pup comes of
age and they have passed all of their health clearances and OFA/PennHip evaluations they come back to Frosted Pines temporarily to breed and to whelp/raise pups for the females. In the contract a specific amount of litters will be determined, typically 4-5 litters and end at the age of 5yrs for females and an undetermined times and age 6yrs for males. At that time FPLs will sign all rights over to the guardian family, the dog will be spayed/neutered and they will
continue to live their life with their family. Typical daily routine care is at the expense of the guardian home and anything breeding related is at our expense. There is also a monetary gift that the guardian home receives with each litter produced from either their male or female. Some expectations for the guardian family is to have a home that is free of other intact dogs, live within 2hours from us, keep us up to date about regular vet visits and immunizations, keep the pup in great health, have dog available for breeding, be willing to be without you pup for a bit, males can be anywhere from 3-8 days at a time, females are 7 weeks during whelping. Expectation from Frosted Pines is provide the pup free of charge, be responsible for any fees related to breeding (health testing, OFA evaluations, and prebreeding vet checks, etc), keep the guardian pup safe and healthy while in our care, stay in very close contact with guardian family while pup is in our care, provide free housing for pup when and if schedules allow if guardian family is going on vacation,
sign off rights at end of contract. This is a brief description and if you are interested in being a guardian home please fill out our questionnaire and we will get back with you. We won’t always have pups to place in guardian homes but we will have a waitlist for interested families.
Thank you for considering this opportunity.
